Welcome to Back to Health Chiropractic...

The goal at Back to Health Chiropractic is to help you understand the benefits of being proactive with your health.Symptoms are almost always the end result of an underlying problem that has been left untreated for too long (i.e., the first symptom of a heart attack is a heart attack - even though it took years of plague buildup to lead to it.) Much like a fire alarm in a house fire, it doesn't make much sense to remove the batteries so you don't hear the beeping - you must put out the fire! Pain medications only mask the issue which allows the problem to only get worse. After a discussion and evaluation so we have a thorough understanding of your current health condition, our goal is to explain to you in very simple terms exactly what's wrong, if we can help, how long it will take and how much it will cost. Once we have corrected the underlying structural primary condition causing your symptoms, we'll show you how to protect the progress that you've made under our care so that you not only feel great but actually ARE great for many years to come. Proactive and preventative healthcare is by far the best way to go!

We're very excited to have you a part of Back to Health Chiropractic and helping you live with the highest quality of life you can!

Introducing LaPorte Chiropractor Dr. Matt Kirkham

Coming from a family of 'chiropractic sceptics', most of my family and friends would not have guessed that I would have chosen to become a chiropractor. Originally, I had set my sights on becoming a medical doctor or an architect. As I discovered more about health and how the body works, chiropractic made a whole lot more sense to me than medicine did, so I decided to become a chiropractic physician.

It was during my early teenage years that I suffered from frequent back pain as a result of playing a lot of volleyball. The jumping and twisting often caused intense pain in my lower back that shot down my leg on occasion. During this period of my life, I also suffered from intense migraine headaches that occurred every few months and only relieved after laying down and going to sleep. And since I couldn't sleep during school, when the migraines hit during the day, I just had to suffer. Read More...

  • An Apple a Day . . .

What is so good about an apple? Is it the color, ranging from ruby red to pale pink? Is it the crunch? The sweetness? Or is it, instead, a combination of all of these qualities, plus the natural goodness derived from the apple's secret ingredients — phytonutrients? If this were a multiple choice quiz, the answer would be "all of the above". Importantly, in addition to possessing numerous appealing physical qualities, apples contain an abundance of health-promoting biochemicals known as phytonutrients.1,2 These specific organic molecules are derived not only from apples but many other fresh fruits and vegetables, and help power the immune system, protect against cancer, maintain healthy eyes, and assist cells in clearing out metabolic waste products such as free radicals. ...
